“What We Look Like” audio play

I plan to post a series of homages to terrific theater- and playwriting-oriented podcasts. First up is The Parsnip Ship! Every month a new play, delivered right to your earbuds.

The Parsnip Ship, hosted by Iyvon Edebiri, is an intimate series of plays performed before live audiences and made accessible as a monthly podcast. The series fosters community by exploring diverse perspectives and bringing awareness to inspiring voices.

I picked “What We Look Like” as my featured episode because it’s a terrific play, it examines fat phobia, and it’s a love story that maybe doesn’t look like a love story. Its authors are Bruce Jones and Jonathan Mello, who also appear on the podcast. Musical guests for the segment are NOWA.
